Lighting fused glass art panels in a public plaza was achieved using metal halide floodlights calibrated for the sloping grade mounting location. Studies of full scale mock-ups of the fused glass panels revealed more light, rather than less, was needed to enhance the density and pigments designed by the artist. Custom mounting posts kept the floodlighting application looking like one framed projection.
