This 9 acre park located within an emerging activity center for Germantown, MD is situated between a county library, an arts center, and high density neighborhoods. A mixed palate of high efficiency light sources integrated into park features were used to provide a safe and varied nocturnal park experience along a network of pedestrian paths crisscrossing through the park. Open area primary paths are distinguished used low wattage bollards. Secondary routes integrate colored LED accents into the railing structure of a boardwalk and bridge to illustrate the proximity of the preserved wetland, as well as to provide visual interest for the residents who will view the park from above.
