In this richly textured lounge/café, the lighting design supports the functional transformation of the café/restaurant-by-day into a luxurious upscale lounge-by-night. This transition takes place through strategically located fixtures, some of which are architecturally concealed to illuminate thematic surfaces and others celebrated as sparkling sculpture, controlled by a programmed dimming system. By utilizing the timed variation in emphasis of reflection, transmission, and refraction to articulate the particular characteristics in the material palette of Co Co. Sala, a successful and diverse venue was achieved.
