A focused strategy of washing wood wall finishes, adding general ambient lighting at new desk and seating areas, introducing a new ceiling color, and the introduction of a patterned window film to the glass storefront reduced lighting contrast and increased visibility for this lobby renovation. Customizing new sconces to hang off of existing junction boxes provided a glowing focal point to accentuate the volume of the double height space while casting additional light at the task level.
