This 145,000 SF LEED Gold downtown DC office building renovation included a 45,000 SF addition.  The original setback, expressed through a “reveal” in the new glass curtain wall is vertically illuminated with LED strips complimenting the fritted glass curtain wall design and emphasizing depth, and shape, thereby creating a strong nocturnal identity for a mid-block address. Minimal and architecturally integrated lobby lighting directs the eye to the regressed elevator lobby location to simulate a feeling of natural light far beyond the reach of the sun.
