Gilmore Lighting Design was founded in 1997 by Debra Gilmore. A graduate of Parsons School of Design, Debra has 30 years of experience in commercial and select residential lighting.

Gilmore Lighting Design is a Bethesda, Maryland-based architectural lighting design and consulting firm. Our projects win awards and enliven spaces. We provide technically sound, highly creative lighting design solutions for projects ranging from a 16th century cultural heritage site in Saudi Arabia to a LEED Gold office building to project-specific custom fixture design. We have a diverse domestic and international client base representing institutions, government, and private corporations.

Our team includes LEED-experienced and LC-certified lighting designers. Debra Gilmore serves as the Principal designer on all projects and is supported by a full-time professional staff. When needed, we draw upon an exclusive list of consultants in fine arts, graphics, music, science, engineering, and theater to augment our perspective.
